We began in 2018 with a symposium on Gender and Identities in Youth Literature.
In 2019 we hosted and presented a La Trobe University seminar for and with staff and postgrads in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, with papers drawn from literary studies, creative writing, screen, theatre, and Japanese studies. Work on the child in culture and on youth literature is an emerging research strength in the LTU department of Creative Arts and English.
In collaboration with colleagues from Monash and Deakin Universities, we hosted a joint masterclass for PhD candidates writing creative PhDs in November 2019.
